User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Great informative book!!
I would buy this book again and again…I can not wait for the restaurant version in fall of 2009!

3 Stars Entertaining
This book, like the original is entertaining, but not exactly the best nutritional advice. It is important that the reader understand that the Author of both of these books compares similar products and decides which is better between the two. That being said, something listed in the “Not That” page such as Danimals Yogurt on pg 169, is not necessarily worse to eat then the Nacho Doritos on page 186 listed under “Eat This”. If you understand the authors intent, this book may help you to choose between two very similar products. Realize, however, that “Good” and “Bad” are relative in relation to the two particular products being compared.

5 Stars Why Shoes4School.org is so Excited about this book!
I am the Executive Director of Shoes4School.org. We have a program called Mission 4 Nutrition. In that program we emphasize to children the importance of getting out and being active but at the same time, keep it fun. One of the reasons we are excited about this book because it gives the power back to the people. Most people will make better choices if they know the consequences of not doing so. I have found that just by making children aware of their choices (and parents) they are happy to do so. This book is not only fun and exciting, the information is in depth and very on target. They actually have created an entire program including online games, charts, the whole enchilada (the good ones of course).

If you or your children need a fun, exciting, no nonsense way to scale back on the calories, I strongly suggest you read this book and implement the strategies. I suggest that every Parent and health teacher should have the entire series of these books.

Kuddos to the Author.

5 Stars Kids can use on their own
So much good information that children can learn and read on their own. But also good for anyone that eats and enjoys the food that the young enjoy. I learned a lot for my own use. I love mac and cheese good to know the better from the worse. also fast food is covered quite well. I got it for my grand daughter who is 11 but having body issues. This way she can eat but make good choices for herself. Not having parents manage her choices. Eat This Not That! for Kids!: Be the Leanest, Fittest Family on the Block!

5 Stars Required reading for all parents!
This book, “Eat This, Not That, for Kids” is an excellent resource for parents. I am giving this copy to my daughter and will order another for my son, both parents of little children. I used to go to a restaurant and order with no idea of how calorie laden the food might be, but no longer. No wonder we are becoming so unhealthy. This book is presented in a very nice format, leaving the reader speechless when reviewing the calorie count of so many popular foods. How many of us can ignore these facts? This book should be available in every library and school.
